St Simons Island Sector Study. A part of the BATS for Glynn County. Among other things, it provides draft locations and cost analyses for a second causeway (see the full BATS MPO below in the "Other Glynn County" section)
One of the original studies commissioned by Glynn County. Detailed analysis of implications for infrastructure based on island-wide development scenarios. One of the original studies commissioned by Glynn County. Detailed analysis of implications for infrastructure based on island-wide development scenarios. Glynn County's2018 and 2023 Comprehensive Plans say this study concluded that full development under existing vested rights would cause “severe impacts to island infrastructure and resources.”
The study is no longer available online, and has been moved/ removed by Glynn County. It is attached at the end of this site because it will not fit
The Pond Study has useful information, but is not a full study with full sampling data that will be required for decision making. This important study, like the Current Conditions and Impacts Report, has been removed from hte Glynn County Documtneet Center and is no longer available online. You can read it below by scrolling down to "The Pond Study" where it is archived as a .pdf file.
